Joyce Wayling
Joyce Astrid Wayling is an internationally honoured Visually Impaired Lawn Bowler.She has competed internationally in six World Championships in singles, pairsand team competition, where she won Silver and Bronze medals. She won theSilver Medal at the World Bowls Championship for Visually Impaired Bowlers heldin Scotland in 2001 and a Bronze Medal at the International Paralympic WorldCompetition held in Australia in 2002.
Joyce was a Gold Medal winner at the Canadian National Championships in 1995,1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2001. She won Silver at the 1994 and 2000 Nationals.
In 1998 and 2001 Joyce was awarded a City of Brampton Sports Achievement Award forachieving excellence in her sport. Joyce is President of the Brampton VIP’s (Visually ImpairedPerson), Vice President of the Ontario Lawn Bowling Association for the Blind and is a memberof the Brampton Lawn Bowling Club.
Joyce’s coach and guide is Kitty Dennis.
