History

In the fall of 1999, the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame was re-located to the new state-of-the-art Brampton Centre for Sports and Entertainment, (since renamed to "The Powerade Centre") located one kilometer south of Steeles Avenue on Kennedy Road. The Hall is located in the west concourse walkway within the 5,000 seat arena complex, adjacent to the "Kennedy Road Entrance".

The re-location of the Hall to the Powerade Centre has had a positive and profound effect on both the visibility and stature of the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame. Being situated in a world class facility, it is now being seen annually by tens of thousands of visitors who attend the many spectacular attractions that the Powerade Centre has to offer.

Community involvement and support has always been and will continue to remain vital to the ongoing success of this valuable community resource. The Brampton community has faithfully displayed its strong support of the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame and other worthwhile community projects in general. Thus, the continued support of the community is both important and appreciated.
