Andrew Quinn
Brampton born Andrew Quinn started skating at the age of 14, and is a naturalon the speed skating oval. He was ranked 9th in Canada in 2001.
In 1999 Andrew was ranked 7th overall in the World Speed SkatingChampionships. He won a bronze medal for Canada in the 1000m andanother bronze medal in the relay event at the 1999 World Championships.
As a member of Team Canada, his team captured 2nd place at the WorldSpeed Skating Team Championships in 1999.
On the 1999 World Cup circuit Andrew won 2 bronze medals and 1 silver medalrepresenting Canada.
Andrew was 1st in the 500m at the 1995 World University Games.
In the 2000-2001 season Andrew set a new World Record in the 1500m. He continuesto train as a member of Canada’s Speed Skating Team while attending Universityin Calgary, Alberta.
