Robert Haw, born in Brampton, curled at the Brampton Curling Club for 31 years. Bob was on the winning team for 14 Zone Finals, playing lead for 7 Zone Finals, vice for 4 Zone Finals and second for 3 Zone Finals. Some of the Skips he played with in the Zone Finals were Bob Fedosa, John Fraser, Bill Core, Dave Stewart and Bob Edmondson. Bob was on the winning team for 9 Regionals and second for 3 Regional Finals. Bob curled Lead for Bob Edmondson for 2 Regional Finals and Lead for Dave Stewart in 1 Regional Final. Bob played in 3 Ontario Men’s Senior Championships, playing Lead for Bob Fedosa.
Bob is a two-time Ontario Masters Champion and has competed in several Provincial Curling Championships. Bob is one of the best at the lead position and has also played Second in the Provincial Mixed.
Bob’s recent career highlights included: 2 Canadian Master Men’s Championships in 2004 and 2006, Masters Zone 8 Winner in 2005 and 2006, Masters Regional Winner in 2006 and Masters Ontario Champion Winner in 2006
Bob Haw is a three time Ontario Provincial Curling Champion and has played in many Provincial Curling Championships. Bob retired from competitive curling after the 2006 season.
Bob played Lacrosse for 30 years, all with Brampton, except 1968 in Detroit and 1974 in Toronto, when he played professionally. Bob was inducted into the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1998.
