Carm McCreary

Carm McCreary has been involved with minor hockey in Brampton for nearly 40 years. Asa hockey coach, on-ice offi cial and member of the Brampton Minor Hockey AssociationExecutive, Carm has been instrumental in assisting with the development and expansion ofone of the fi nest volunteer-based recreational activities for youth in Brampton.

Appointed a Life Member of the Brampton Minor Hockey Association in 1987, Carm is arecipient of the Ken Long Memorial Trophy. He coached Bantam and Midget Rep teamsas well as House League teams. He played with the Junior “B” Regents from 1950 to1953, sharing the ice with such legends of the NHL as Bob Baun, Carl Brewer, Al MacNeil,Bob Pulford, Jack Bionda and Dick Duff.

Carm has volunteered as a referee and linesman for 25 years, serving four years as Referee-in-Chiefwith the Brampton Minor Hockey Association and an additional four years as Referee-in-Chief of thepopular Brampton Lions Novice Hockey Tournament.

Carm also coached and managed in the House League of Brampton Minor Baseball for fi ve years andvolunteered with hosting the BMBI Pee Wee Tournament. He also served in various capacities on theExecutive for 12 years, including a term as President in 1969-70.
