E. W. “BILLY” EVANS
E. W. “BILLY” EVANS Bill, a member of the builders’ section of the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame, life member of the Excelsior Lacrosse Club and former President of the Brampton Minor Lacrosse Association, is the third person elected to the builders’ section of the City of Brampton Sports Hall of Fame. Evans, who has been a lacrosse supporter in Brampton since 1930, is a life member of the BMLA and the Ontario Minor Lacrosse Association. He served as the BMLA’s president between 1955 and 1961 and continued as an executive member until 1966. In 1961, Bill received the Merv McKenzie Mr. Lacrosse Award, a coveted prize of the OMLA. Bill has always championed the cause of minor lacrosse. Inducted November 23, 1983
